Anniversaries.

A room of people who already know each other. The music leans personal — often a song written for the couple, performed live for the first time.

The Rooftop Anniversary

Twenty-five years, twenty-two guests, one skyline. A trio at dusk; a nine-piece by midnight. The set list was a marriage, in order — every song from the years that made it.

"Our anniversary sounded exactly like our marriage. Even the arguments were in there — set to strings."

Fifty Years, In a Garden

A song written for the couple by one of the company's arrangers — performed live at sunset, without rehearsal in front of them. The arrangement had been mailed to their children a month earlier.

They danced first. Everyone else stayed still.
